First of all, thank you for your feedback about what femininity means to you, I really appreciate it.  My thoughts on this subject are very much like your own. I might write more about that some day, but for today I have actually prepared and planned something else. So, let's talk about my painting of the day. Some people asked me (a while back) to explain my drawing/painting process, so I decided to make a few videos. I already posted some of them on YouTube and I will probably make and post a few more. I don't think I'm really qualified to make art tutorials, so this is more a 'making of' for the benefit of those of you who are curious to see it. Painting is a subject I'm still learning about. If you want, we can study together, but it is not something I can teach yet. I'm qualified to teach and I actually studied to be a teacher but not an art teacher. I have my degree (and state certificate) in something else (I bet it isn't hard to guess what t

What is femininity for you? For me it is more about how we wear clothes, than in the clothes themselves. Today's medium is coloured pencil on paper. Što je vas ženstvenost? Za mene ona je više u tome kako nosimo odjeću, nego u samoj odjeći. Današnji medij su bojice na papiru.

Beauty and the world / Ljepota i svijet ( Buna, BIH)

Dostoevsky believed that beauty can save the world. I believe it too. Because we can find beauty within ourselves. It is a part of us, but only if we choose it to be. We are given the gift of choice. That in itself  is beautiful. We can search for beauty, treasure it and remember it. It can become a part of us. Looking at these photographs, I'm reminded how comforting beauty can be, but this is only so if we meet it if an open heart, if we don't try to own it. For true beauty is not something that can be bought or earned. It is a gift to be accepted. A gift we should be grateful for. Dostojevski je rekao da ljepota može spasiti svijet. I ja u to vjerujem.

Dobar dan, tugo/ Bonjour Tristesse, Francoise Sagan (ogled knjige/ book review)

Today I'm sharing two things with you: a book review of Bonjour Tristesse by Francoise Sagan and an illustration of mine. I mentioned Bonjour Triestesse on my blog on at least one occasion (read  about it  here  ) , but I didn’t do a proper review yet. This was my first novel by Sagan and it also happens to be the first novel she wrote. I would say that it was a lovely introduction to this author. The second novel of hers I read was Scars On the Sou l and I simply fell in love with that one. Scars On the Soul is still my favourite novel of hers, but I shall talk about that one some other time, alright? Today we’re talking about Bonjour Tristesse (sometimes translated as Hello Sadness which is close enough, but well you all know what bonjour means in French). The title of the novel is taken from a poem (you can read it at the end of this post. Having read the poem both translations of the title seem to make sense to me). This novel was published in 1954, causing quite a stir an
